Chanterelle is the fruiting body of chanterelle fungus. Fruiting body fleshy, trumpet-shaped, apricot yellow to egg yolk yellow, cap 3-9cm, flat at first, then depressed. Flesh egg yolk yellow, delicious. Also known as apricot fungus, apricot yellow fungus or yellow silk fungus.
